Hello, I'd like to give a huge welcome to new readers!
It is exciting to learn that I am helping more and more people find what they are looking for, especially in regard to cooking tasty, nutritious, fast and EASY meals and snacks.
Part of my role as a Mum is feeding my family and I freely admit that I do not love cooking. My list of other things I would rather do is long and varied.
Nevertheless, it is a part of my day, every day, several times a day, especially while my kids are young, so it is a joy and a pleasure to find and share easy recipes and helpful appliances with you in the hope of helping you in your day too.
So, time for another Thermochef update....
"The Machine', as we tend to call it, is going strong after 8 months and getting plenty of use, mostly for main meals.
If you are considering purchasing one, I suggest having a think in regard to what you particularly need help with. For me, it was help with dinner for my family of four.
If it is main meals you need help with then have a think about what you actually like to eat for dinner.
We don't eat a lot of meat in our home, I was a vegetarian before I had kids, a whole other blog post which I will address one day, so we still eat a lot of vege burgers, soups, vege risottos etc which are FABULOUS in the Thermochef.
I don't make a lot of sweet stuff ('cos then I have to eat it!) but I did make my first ever slice last month. This is the Energy Slice from the Thermostruck recipe book. Master 6 liked this one...lots of dates, peanut butter and cocoa.
Mushroom soup from Thermochef International Recipe Cards. Not sure if I'll make this one again, although my good friend enjoyed it. It was very...mushroomy :-)
Felafels...mmm, I love felafels. This recipe is from the Thermochef recipe cards, included with the machine.
Thai Fish Cakes from International Recipe Cards. Delicious.
Zucchini slice from the included recipe cards...really tasty. I love zucchini so I have experimented in the past with zucchini slice recipes but I've never found a keeper.
I think the curry powder and bacon gave this one an extra kick.
Lentil Patties, again, from the recipe cards that come with the Thermochef. A very tasty and more-ish little burger :-)
