Amazing. Artisan. Gelati.
Have you visited before?
As you drive out of Moonta, heading towards Maitland, it is on your left, set back off the road in a rural setting.
The proprietors and staff are generous and kindred spirits, passionate about food and service...and it shows.
These were some of the flavours of the day when we visited.
What would you choose?
Coffee. Kinder Surprise. Peanut Butter Fudge. Salted Caramel (So trying this next time) Macadamia. Chocolate. Vanilla. Almond and Carmelised Fig. Tiramisu. White Choc Cherry. Banana. Choc Dream. Citrus Sorbet. Kiwi Sorbet.
The Man of the House and I visited there last Friday (with only a little room left in our full bellies after feasting on the rich and beautiful food at Indian Inn, Cornwall Hotel, Moonta).
I chose a scoop of banana. There is nothing artificial about this banana flavour...it tastes refreshing and creamy, melt in your mouth. The forementioned spicy lunch led the Man of the House to choose Citrus Sorbet and another scoop of Lemon on top. (Non-dairy) Just the right about of zest and refreshment....oh wow.
Here's me feeling excited.
I love food.
A couple of years ago I ordered a birthday cake for The Man of the House with lots of different flavours...it was crazy special.
Other homemade tempting delights include...
The Coffee Barn and Gelateria is not to be missed if you are visiting the Yorke Peninsula.
